"Goddamn these electric sex pants!"

Damn them, indeed! Title is from 'The IT Crowd'.

The Day So Far

I took a shower, did laundry and finished disc 1 of 'Dollhouse'. I'm just this side of interested in the show, aside from the fact that I really dislike the main character. Joss need to stop making his main female characters like Buffy/River {really the same person in some aspects}, and make them NORMAL women. He had it right with Kaylee, I think.

News/Stuff About Celebrities and Movies/Music/TV Shows/etc.
Actor News:
James Marsters is going to be on the first episode of the second season of 'Lie to Me*'. I can barely contain the excitement I feel about this...though I am hoping they have him speak in a British accent. He sounds weird when he's speaking in his normal American voice. Sad to say, but it's true.

Movie News- Mockery of the Week:
Diablo Cody, owner of one of the most annoying names ever, may be writing a Hugh Hefner biopic, which may or may not be starring Leonardo DiCaprio or Robert Downey Jr. as Hefner. Am I one of the only people who thinks she should just go away for awhile? What she's going to do is make this a "snappy, witty" movie about the Playboy magnate. It's going to be 'Juno' meets porn. I didn't mind the writing in 'Juno', but she made the character into an unlikable brat.

Most Recent Movie(s)/TV Show(s) I've Seen At Home:
Season 1 of 'Lie to Me*', starring Tim Roth, Kelli Williams, Brendan Hines and Monica Raymund {who was fresh out of Juilliard when she began acting on this show}. I first heard of this show when I found out David Anders was going to be on the 2nd episode, and so watched it. Aside from the fact that he was on it, I was struck by how good the show was; the writing, the chemistry between the actors, the plots, etc. While some of the episodes' endings may be a little predictable, it's still one of the best TV shows on the air right now. I'm looking forward to the second season coming out on Monday. I will, unfortunately, have to wait until the next day to watch the show.

Funny Picture(s) I've Found:

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'Game of Pricks' by Guided By Voices. I first heard this on 'The IT Crowd' and it made me download their greatest hits, which is full of awesome music. 32 songs worth, to be exact.

Jackie Earle Haley:

Not only is he a stellar actor, he'll teach you how to play golf!

Hot Guy Of the Day
Christian Bale.
Quote of the Day
-Seth McFarlane: "Do not wear a wool cap indoors in the middle of the summer unless you are either a douchebag or Colin Ferrell. Yes, Colin, I see you there with your wool cap. Whatcha got goin' on under that wool cap, hmm? Thinkin' 'bout your sideburns? Oh looks like you've got a little rip in your jeans too. Yeah that's rebellious. Yeah, you're a bad boy. Society wants those jeans to be intact, but you'll have none of it, will you?"

Anything Else I Can Think Of
Band You Should Be Listening To:

The Mountain Goats. One of the best lo-fi artists you could ever hope to listen to, aside from Iron & Wine, who may be featured here soon. I recommend the album 'The Sunset Tree', though the album is about child abuse {the singer's suffered at the hands of his stepfather}, it's raw and biting, and one of my favourite albums this year.

"You guys had a riot....on account of me? My very own riot?"

Not everyone's as special as you, Jayne. Title is from 'Firefly', episode 'Jaynestown'.

The Day So Far

I've watched 'Lie to Me' all day, made lunch for myself, did some laundry and cleaned up the mess my cat made with her water in the kitchen. I love Seraph but she is one of the stupidest cats in the world. Has anyone had a cat that would be nice to you while you pet them, and then just attack you for no reason?

News/Stuff About Celebrities and Movies/Music/TV Shows/etc.
Movie News- Mockery of the Week:
On the IMDB poll for today, they're asking what the best Marvel movie is to date, out of the following options:

Blade*, X-Men*, Blade II*, Spiderman*, Daredevil, X2*, Hulk, The Punisher*, Spiderman 2*, Blade: Trinity*, Elektra*, Man-Thing {wtf is this?}, Fantastic Four, X-Men: The Last Stand*, Ghost Rider, Spiderman 3*, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Punisher: War Zone and X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Now, I don't know about you, but most of these movies I have unfortunately seen {those marked by asterisks}, and most Marvel movies are not good. Blade is the only one I can think of that is even remotely good, and even then it's kind of stupid. I've noticed that a lot of Marvel movies are shitty and a lot of DC movies, at least recently, have been a lot better. Which did you enjoy better? Spiderman or Batman Begins? The Incredible Hulk or The Dark Knight? And let's not even talk about the travesty that is Elektra or Spiderman 3. Or ANY of the X-Men movies.

Now that Disney owns Marvel, I'm wondering if the quality of the movies will go up or down.

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'Resistance' by Muse. I still feel like the album is only alright, but this song is growing on me, even though the chorus is incredibly corny. "Love is our resistance"? C'mon, Matt!

Jackie Earle Haley:

Jackie's currently in Canada filming more of 'Human Target'. Just in case you were dying to know that. Next year will be a great year for JEH fans because of 'Human Target', 'Shutter Island' and 'Nightmare on Elm Street' all coming out.

Hot Guy Of the Day
Tim Roth. I don't know why, but he is incredibly attractive in 'Lie to Me'. There I said it.

Quote of the Day
-Jayne: "Hey, I got an idea. Instead of us hanging around playing art critic till I get pinched by the Man, how's about we move away from this eerie-ass piece of work and get on with our increasingly eerie-ass day, how's that?"

Anything Else I Can Think Of
Band You Should Be Listening To:

Azure Ray. They're very mellow and have a nice clean indie sound. I recommend the November EP the most, and if you're looking for a single song, I recommend 'The Drinks We Drank Last Night' from the album 'Hold on Love'.

I will thankfully be getting cake tonight at my friend's party.

"We are on an actual case involving strippers. Finally."

The Day So Far
Mom was supposed to take my computer into her job today to have her friend look at it, but she forgot. I called her and she said she'd come home on a lunch break to get it. Never happened.

HOPEFULLY Monday it will be fixed. Though I keep saying that and it never happens. FFFFF

So, I got a little more caught up on 'Supernatural' season 4.

News/Stuff About Celebrities and Movies/Music/TV Shows/etc.
Movie News:
'Pirates of the Caribbean 4' is being released summer 2011. Now, I'm sure I speak for most people when I ask; do we really need another movie where Johnny Depp stumbles around drunk and unwashed doing a Keith Richards impersonation? I have nothing against him, and want him to get more work, but when the last two movies in the series weren't really that good to begin with {Dead Man's Chest didn't even have a dead man in it!} and the last one needed a who's backstabbing who checklist, WHY do we need more movies?! Just so Disney can make more money? They already have more than the papacy and have more than enough to throw around, especially since they just purchased the rights to Marvel for $4 billion.

Mockery of the Week:
So, McDonald's is showing ads that say "Happy Meals have surprisingly fewer fat and calories than other foods I give my kids." Uhm...what else are you giving your children? Are they eating cake three times a day with french fries and fried rice to go along with it? Considering what some people look like in this country, and some children, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. And you know, they don't even say who has said this, though on the ad, they do invite us to "learn the truth about Happy Meals".

I would like McDonald's to get off their high horse and stop pretending that their foods are healthy and nutritious. No, no they're not. It's fast food, so it is nowhere near healthy or nutritious. Did no one see 'Super Size Me'? Sure, you're not supposed to eat McDonald's every single day, but Morgan Spurlock was proving a point. In 30 days, he gained "gained 24½ lbs. (1¾ stone, 11.1 kg), a 13% body mass increase, a cholesterol level of 230, and experienced mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and liver damage. It took Spurlock fourteen months to lose the weight gained from his experiment."

So, do not try to tell me that your food is even the slightest bit healthy, McDonald's. Just stop the lying.

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'Black Dog' by Led Zeppelin. I haven't listened to the song in awhile, but it just popped up in there. Weird right?

Jackie Earle Haley:
Smug Jackie is smug. Either that or someone just asked him a question that he didn't hear and he's going, "Hmmm?" Either way; great face. Also, I need that scarf 35 minutes ago.

Hot Guy Of the Day
Jorma Taccone.

Quote of the Day
-Jayne: "Dear Diary: Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. {flips page} Today we were kidnapped by hill folk, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever."

"Don't come down here while I'm eating my full English breakfast with extra breakfast and expect me to make things easier for you, okay?"

I want a full English breakfast with extra breakfast! Title is from 'Run Fatboy Run'.

The Day So Far

I just watched 'Run Fatboy Run' and it's making me really want to go to the gym. I can't wait until Mom gets home so I can do this.

News/Stuff About Celebrities and Movies/Music/TV Shows/etc.
Movie News- Mockery of the Week:

Now, I mean no disrespect to Johnny Depp, but dear god. Could he look more like a pedophile? I thought he had topped that with 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', but his role as the Mad Hatter soars far above that. It like, FLYS and swoops over the mountains under glorious rainbows with sparkles and flowers and unicorns flying around the Mad Hatter as he does this.

And that may be one of the weirdest images I've ever put in my head.

Most Recent Movie(s) I've Seen At Home:

'Run Fatboy Run', directed by David Schwimmer and written by Michael Ian Black and Simon Pegg. A lot of movies I've watched recently have been ones I didn't see at the time, but this is one I was really looking forward to, and I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. Simon Pegg is one of the funniest actors out there today. His comedic timing was spot on and he plays a loveable schlub really well. Even though you could go into the movie hating him, since he leaves his pregnant fiance at the altar, you can't help but like him, even though he was an idiot for doing so.

Funny Picture(s) I've Found:
Someone should have shown this to Stephenie Meyer. Though I don't think even this could have made Twilight any better, since the woman can't fucking write.

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'Right Round' by Flo Rida featuring Keasha. I never thought I'd love a rap song so much, and I blame 'The Hangover' for this since it was at the end of the movie and throughout. It's really really catchy and is currently my most played song on my iTunes.

Jackie Earle Haley:
This man can wear a suit like it's his JOB. And I think it should be a part time job for him since he does it so well. I have half a mind to talk to his agent about this possibility.

Hot Guy Of the Day
Hank Azaria
