Review: City of God {Cidade de Deus}
This was an amazing, brutal movie. Once it starts, it doesn't stop, and was able to hold my attention for the entirety of the film. I felt sympathy for a lot of the characters, mostly because I could see that there was no way a lot of them would be able to escape the cycle of violence, which is pointed out very well in the film, particularly towards the end when we see The Brats. This is a very absorbing film, and one of the best I've ever seen.
Grade: A
