Shipping Meme

Six pairings I like:
1. Olivia/Peter {Fringe}
2. Katniss/Peeta {The Hunger Games}
3. Mal/Inara {Firefly}
4. Jen/Roy {The IT Crowd}
5. Liz/Wesley {30 Rock}
6. Dean/Castiel/Balthazar {Supernatural}

Three pairings I've abandoned:
7. Gillian/Cal {Lie to Me}
8. Rorschach/Nite Owl II {Watchmen}
9. Liz/Floyd {30 Rock}

Three pairings I have never really liked:
10. Sam/Dean {Supernatural}
11. BJ/Hawkeye {M*A*S*H}
12. Niles/Frasier {Frasier}

Two pairings that have piqued my interest:
13. Niles/Roz {Frasier}
14. Deb/Quinn {Dexter}

1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
I just can't see BJ and Hawkeye getting together. Mostly because BJ is married and Hawkeye is a chronic womanizer.

2. Who do you know that ships #13?
No one personally, but I'm sure there are people out there that do.

3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
They talk for hours in Inara's shuttle and then end up kissing. A real kiss that they're both aware of and conscious for, and Mal finally admits his damn feelings for her.

4. What is your favorite moment for #1?
"You have to come back because you belong with me."

5. How long have you been following couple #6?
For about a season

6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring?
I'm just not as into the Watchmen fandom as much as I used to be anymore. I still love the novel and the movie, but I'm kind of "Eh" about it now.

7. Which ship do you prefer - #2 or #4?
#4

8. You have the power to make one ship nonexistent. Choose #10 or #12
Photobucket

#10

Photobucket

9. What interests you about #14?
There's already definite chemistry there, and I think the two of them would be great for each other. They back each other up and already have one another's backs as partners, now I'd like to see how things go with them as romantic partners.

10. When did you stop liking #7?
It's not that I don't like them anymore, it's that I stopped liking and watching the show, so now I'm like, "Eh, whatevs" about it

11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the series?
Nope, because it's still ridiculous and hilarious

12. What's a song that reminds you of #1?
I don't really have one, but if pressed, I would have to say 'Gasoline' by Jann Arden.

13. Which of these ships do you love the most right now?
Olivia/Peter, because it's part of the storyline currently going on 'Fringe'.

14. Which do you dislike the most?
#10. Always and forever

15. If you could have any of these pairings double date, who would they be?
HAHAH Oh man. Uhm...maybe Jen/Roy with Liz/Wesley.

16. Have #5 kissed yet? Elaborate if yes.
Yes they have. They were on the way to Cerie's wedding and Wesley asked Liz to get some shoes for him from his office. They kissed awkwardly and both didn't seem too happy about it.

17. Did #4 have a happy ending? Do you think one is likely?
They haven't gotten together yet, but I think one could be possible for them.

18. What would make you start shipping #14?
Their chemistry as partners in Dexter season 3 is when I started.

19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer: #2 or #6?
Well, #2's already happened, and #6 just needs to happen. With Crowley in the back rubbing his hands together going, "Just as planned" in his hot Cockney accent.

20. You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them?
They realize that they're brothers and shouldn't be fucking. Oh no, wait...the entire fucking FANDOM realizes that to the same effect and stops shipping them.

43 Things #4: Take a road trip

For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to take a road trip across America, particularly after the completion of a Grand Event; graduating from college or something like that. But, since I have yet to actually complete college, and the only Grand Event that’s going to happen in my life soon will be the marriage of Emmy, one of my best friends, sometime this year, I figure after that will be a good time to go on the Great Cross-Country Road Trip. She, myself and our mutual friend Mary are shooting for 2012 or 2013, since we will all be in better financial situations by then, or at least that’s the hope.

  • Who: Me, Emmy, Mary
  • When: Late spring/early summer 2012/2013 {April, May or June}
  • Where: Cahokia, Illinois; Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, South Dakota; Yellowstone National Park, Montana; Four Corners Monument; Grand Canyon, Arizona; Roswell, New Mexico
  • How much to save: $2,000 {$1,000 each for ourselves and an extra $1,000 for emergencies}
  • How long to travel: 1 1/2 weeks or 2 weeks

We had planned to also go to New York on this trip, but since I’m coming from New Hampshire, and both Emmy and Mary live in West Virginia, I think me flying down to them and us leaving from their homes, like we did in 2008 on our road trip to Kentucky, would be easier and better in the long run. It’s already going to be a long trip without adding New York onto it.

I would like to go back to New York City one of these days, though.

What quality do you value most in your friends?

Honesty and loyalty, though technically they could be the same thing.

Ask me things. And even stuff.

12 pounds lost

-Starting Weight: 206
-Current Weight: 194
-Goal Weight: 185

OMG I’m getting so close to my goal weight. I think I’ll tackle the snow on the deck to see if I can bring my weight down to 190 or so.

Oranges and salads will be my food of choice for awhile.

At the 200 lb mark

I’m down now from starting at 206.5 to being 200.5. Not too bad for a month, but I could probably do a lot better. Just by walking or using the exercise bike in the kitchen more, I could probably start losing at least two pounds a week.

I was sick recently and it took my appetite for a few days. I’m going to assume that helped with some of this weight loss. The trick will be keeping it off and maintaining without sickness “helping” me in that way.

I’m still eating a lot of fruits and salads; we bought oranges and I had about six in three days or so. I also made sure to still at least have salad and healthier bread products. I’ve begun snacking on saltines and animal crackers {for when I need something sweet} and will see how the oyster crackers my Dad bought taste.

Soup is going to become a big part of my diet, and I’m going to load up on juices and lemonades and teas to ensure I don’t fall off the wagon and load up on soda. If that means only bringing enough money for the tolls or even leaving my debit card in the car at work, so be it.

I’m determined to be at least 185 by March. Hopefully 172 if I can help it, but we’ll see.

One other good thing about being sick; since I ate at a fast food restaurant the night before I got sick, I’m kind of turned off by a lot of fast food. True, I had a Frosty last night, but I also had a salad, and just the salad instead of a Wendy’s meal went a long way in helping me.

-Current Weight: 200.5
-Goal Weight: 185
-Healthy food had today: 2 oranges
-Days Without Soda: 9
