"Well, I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era."

I'm pretty sure that's incorrect, but nice try, Ron Burgundy. Title is from 'Anchorman'.

General Blogging
My top artists on LastFM for the last week have been Lady Gaga, Muse, Ludacris, Adam Lambert, Robert Downey Jr., Rufus Wainwright, Papa Roach, Bon Iver, Smashing Pumpkins, The Gits, Rammstein, Lostprophets, Bright Eyes, Placebo and Patrick Wolf. That's a weird mix if I ever saw one. All I need is some country music up in there and I'm good to go with eclecticity, if I can use that word.

I went to DC with Rebekah and her boyfriend Ryan today, and even though our objective was to go to the Natural History Museum, all we really did was walk through one of the Natural History Museum's halls and try to find a place to eat. We went to the National Art Gallery and then finally walked down to Independence Avenue and found a Quizno's.

A JEH podcast was attempted when I returned home, but thanks to technology fail, it had to be rescheduled.

Actor News:
-MTV is calling Sam Worthington the new Leonardo DiCaprio. This article offers all the evidence you might need to either reject or support this claim.

I personally don't agree with this summation. While both have the eye-candy and desirability factor going for them, I think Leo's a much better actor. Sam's not bad, but if he's going to be called the "next Leonardo DiCaprio", he has a long way to go, acting-wise. Now, admittedly, I've only seen 'Terminator: Salvation' and 'Avatar', and he does put his heart into the roles, one detrimental thing of Sam stands out immediately; he needs to maintain control of the accent he's put on for the roles. I've never had to sustain an accent different from my own for more than two minutes, let alone the entirety of a movie/TV show, but Leo did it quite well in 'Blood Diamond'. Hugh Laurie does an amazing job of it in 'House', and Tim Roth does a really good job of it in quite a few of his movies.

Even Heath Ledger was able to put his Aussie accent to the side for almost every movie he was in and maintain a believable American accent. David Anders, who was Mr. Sark in 'Alias' and Adam Monroe/Takezo Kensei in 'Heroes', had a hell of a British accent, to the point where I thought that he was British, and was astonished to learn he was American.

So, to get to my actual point; I think Sam has potential, as far as acting goes, but he has a long way to go before he can be called the "next Leo DiCaprio", or really the next anyone.

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'The Futurist' by Robert Downey Jr. You didn't know he could sing? Well, yes, he can. He's what I like to call a triple threat. Awesome actor, awesome singer and he's so hot he can look at a woman and get her pregnant. Okay, that last one hasn't been proven, but scientists are working gathering the evidence so that his fans can have his children one day.

"Dude, you're confusing reality with porn, again."

It's never a good idea to confuse these two. Title is from 'Supernatural'.

The Day So Far

The best thing about today was getting a voice message on the podcast website from Jackie Earle Haley himself. AND also was getting a reply from him on Twitter! The first one in 5 months! {I know he's a busy guy and stuff, but dang! /entitled fan rant}

I was on cloud 9 all day.

Movie You Should Be Excited About:
'Inception'

I'm not sure what this movie is about, but it looks really interesting. It has a really good ensemble cast too, not unlike 'Shutter Island'; Leo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard, Tom Berenger, Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It's also directed by Chris Nolan, who directed 'The Dark Knight', 'Batman Begins', 'The Prestige', 'Insomnia' and 'Memento'. So you know it will be amazing on at least a few levels.

Actor News:
Jackie Earle Haley is amazing. See 'My Day So Far' for more information.

Most Recent Book(s) I've Finished:

Joe College written by Tom Perrotta, writer of Little Children, The Abstinence Teacher and Election. Of all the books he's read, this has been the least exciting. Little Children was good until the end when he jumped the shark and made the ending totally unrealistic. The Abstinence Teacher was really really good, and I have not read Election. Joe College started well, but kind of trailed off into nothing. The main character was really unlikeable, and kind of a douche, and the story just kind of...ended after awhile.

Truly one of the hottest shirts he has. It just...it accentuates EVERYTHING important. Plus it's a nice shirt ;)

I've heard pygmies are tense. Title is from 'Red Dwarf'.

Watched a movie, got the mail, going to school in a bit.

News/Stuff About Celebrities and Movies/Music/TV Shows/etc.
Movie News:
The Daily Poll on IMDB is asking, out of the following actors, who we think should be cast as Bilbo Baggins: Ben Barnes {currently playing Dorian Gray in the self-titled movie, and who played Prince Caspian in the 2nd Narnia movie}, Jamie Bell {who was the younger brother in 'Defiance'}, Dominic Cooper {Dakin in 'The History Boys'}, Hugh Dancy {in 'Confessions of a Shopaholic'}, Matthew Goode {Mr. "Did it 35 Minutes Ago" Veidt}, Zac Efron {NO!}, Martin Freeman {main guy in 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'}, James McAvoy, Robert Pattinson {FUCK NO}, Simon Pegg {:D}, Daniel Radcliffe, Jim Sturgess {the main guy in 'Across the Universe'}, David Tennant, Sam Worthington {in 'Terminator: Salvation'} and Anton Yelchin.

Some of these people I could see, since a lot of them are competent actors, but of all of them, Simon Pegg is the only one I could really see playing 33 year old Bilbo. Most of my problems with these others come from the fact that most of them are either too tall or too young. I voted for Simon on the poll and am seeing that James McAvoy is winning, and while I could sort of see why, since he's young and attractive and all these girls want to see everything he's in, but we should go with an actor who could carry the movie and could LOOK the part of a hobbit.

Matthew Goode, David Tennant, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin are too tall. Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson...NOOOOOO!!!

Most Recent Movie(s) I've Seen At Home:
'I Could Never Be Your Woman', directed by Amy Hecklering, who also directed the amazing movie 'Clueless'. Not so amazing job with this, though I really wanted to like it. Paul Rudd is so adorable. I couldn't not fall in love with him in this movie. All the actors were good in this, the directing was great, but, as what happens with a lot of movies recently, could have benefited from a major script re-write. I mention this on the newest WPTJEH podcast episode in relation to the 'Bad News Bears' remake, and it's no less true.

This only serves to remind me that 'Supernatural' season 4 is out on DVD today. I know what I'm picking up on the way home from school.

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'Inside of You' by Hoobastank. Possibly one of the most inappropriate songs ever, but I love it so much. It always makes me think of a cerain celebrity, and I don't know why. It's surreal, I know. ;)

I love his jeans in this photo! I don't know how he always manages to get so stylin' all the time.

If anyone hasn't seen the TV show 'Red Dwarf', you should see it NOW. It's only 8 seasons, but all of them are 6 episodes long, so, you could probably burn through three in less than a day :)
