The Day So Far
I finished 'Six Feet Under' last night/early this morning, and cried my eyes out. One of the best and most depressing endings to any TV show I've ever seen.

I had a fudgesicle this morning for breakfast and may have sushi for lunch with my soon-to-be-ex roommate.

Movie You Should Be Excited About:
'Shutter Island'

Not the least because it's directed by Martin Scorsese, whom many consider to be one of the greatest directors alive, but because it has an amazing ensemble cast; Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ted Levine, Patricia Clarkson, Michelle Williams, Jackie Earle Haley, Ben Kingsley and Emily Mortimer. Plus, you know, the story is excellent. And anything with Jackie Earle Haley is a movie I can get behind, even if it's just for him.

Most Recent Movie I Have Seen In Theatres:
'The Hurt Locker'. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, mastermind behind 'Near Dark', among other movies. It's an intense white-knuckler of a movie about a bomb squad in the chaos of the Iraq War. Starring one of my other favourite actors; Jeremy Renner, whom many may know from '28 Weeks Later', 'S.W.A.T', 'Dahmer' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford', was amazing in it, and I'm pleased to see him in more leading man roles. Plus, the rest of the cast, ones that you know and ones that come out of nowhere pretty much make the movie.

Grade: A-

Miscellany
I have finished 8 TV shows now, as you can see on the list to the right of this blog. The next one I watch will be either 'The Wire', 'Deadwood' or 'Lie to Me'.

Hot Guy of the Day
Chris Messina, whom I noticed on 'Six Feet Under'. He has some really sexy lips, and don't you just want to mess up that hair? :3 He's also in 'Julie & Julia', which I've been wanting to see and now I have another reason to.

Band You Should Be Listening To:

Sleater-Kinney. Yes, I know they broke up in 2007, but their album 'The Woods' is raucous and beautiful in a way that you wouldn't think a girl band would be able to achieve, especially the first track on the album, The Fox. It makes you want to either get up and dance or mosh the fuck out of people.

I Want:
I've been looking for a bloody smiley-face pin, and cannot find it anywhere. You'd think it would have been the first thing made to promote the Watchmen movie, but, unfortunately not. :(
