The Day So Far
I got my shirt that LV made for the World Peace Through Jackie Earle Haley podcast we're on. It's so AWESOME! Pictures will be forthcoming.

It's kind of sad when things like this are the highlight of my day. I don't do much except school {now that the semester starts tomorrow} and work. This is yet another reason why I need a boyfriend.

WTF of the Week:
So, IMDB pulled a total dick move and spoiled 'Shutter Island' on their news pages. Not only did I have to be reminded about the fact that it is being released February 16, 2010, instead of October 2, 2009, but I had to read a major spoiler about it! If I hadn't read the book, I'd have been HACKED.

And this isn't even going into the major spoiler, many I'm told, in the trailer!

WTF world? WTF Paramount? What did we DO to you?

And again, Paramount sucks all the dicks for pushing back 'Shutter Island'. I can't stress this enough at this point.

Most Recent Movie(s) I've Seen At Home:


'There Will Be Blood', directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, based very loosely on the novel Oil! by Upton Sinclair. I hadn't seen it since January of last year, and I saw it at 11:50 PM {it's 158 minutes long}, so I was mainly just wanting to get through it so I could go to sleep, and was probably half paying attention.

I watched it last night with my Mom and it was a lot better this time around. It was never a bad movie, per se, but I paid more attention to it this time. The same thing happened with 'The Assassination of Jesse James'. It was a 3 hour movie or so, but I felt like I'd been in the theatre for 5 hours or more. I think 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Watchmen' wore down a lot of my endurance for dealing with movies over 2 1/2 hours. Or maybe I can only deal with them when they're based off of books I really love?

Any reason I have to pimp Kate Beaton's comics/work is a good one. She combines two of my favourite things; history and comics. Plus, you can't beat that wit.

The Song Currently Stuck In My Head:
'Womanizer' by Britney Spears. It's annoying and damn catchy. Also, it always makes me think of The Comedian from Watchmen. Pretty appropriate, right?

Band You Should Be Listening To:

Beirut. A lot of his music is very waltz-like, and has a lot of Eastern European influences, especially the first album Gulag Orkestar, but it's very mellow, easy to listen to music. One of my favourite bands ever.

I Want:

This is yet another reason for me to get an X-Box 360 or a PS3. And I've heard it's not even that good of a game, but it's Watchmen, and I have to support it if only because of that.
