Hmm, this is a good question. I have a lot of those [since I'm a big movie person}, but probably it would have to be either the original Star Wars trilogy or Tombstone. They're just so well made as films, and I have yet to get tired of them, despite watching them at least twice a year since I was seven years old.

Halloween Meme
1. What is your favorite written work of horror fiction?
Pet Semetary by Stephen King and The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. Haunting scared the shit out of me, to the point where I cannot read it with no one around/after dark or I get the creeps.
Also, Semetary's ending scared me so much that I had to have my back against the wall of my stairs in my room as I read it.
2. What is your favorite work of science fiction/fantasy?
'Aliens' is my favourite sci-fi movie, second only to 'Serenity'. Though, if we stick with a Halloween theme, I'd say the TV shows 'Supernatural' and 'Fringe' are the best.
3. Who is your favorite monster?
The Headless Horseman from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. And as far as actual monsters, I'd have to say vampires, though we're inundated with them now, and it's annoying.
4. What is your favorite Horror movie?
'Fright Night'. It's spooky, scary and very funny. And it has Roddy McDowall and Chris Sarandon in it. :)
5. What horror movie gives you the most chills?
'The Haunting' {1963 version}, 'The Descent' and 'The Orphanage'.
6. What character from any horror film would you most like to play?
I'd probably like to be Ripley from 'Alien', since she kicks total ass.
7. Freddy or Jason?
I don't really like either of them, but I'll have to go with Freddy since he can kill you in your dreams, and that's awesome. And also:
He's being played in the remake by Jackie Earle Haley. How awesome is that?
8. What is your favorite Halloween treat?

9. Ghosts or goblins?
Ghosts, by far. Thank you, 'Supernatural'! I've even been ghost hunting in Old Ellicott City and saw numerous orbs.

I usually make friendly ones, but this one is AWESOME:
11. What is your scariest encounter with the paranormal?
I was on the phone with one of my current exes, and I was sitting on the floor in front of the stove. While we were talking, the radio that was across the room started making noises, like voices, which raised in volume and then just went away.
Also, when I was on the phone with same ex, we got disconnected, and when I called him back, I heard some weird whispering on the other end. I got freaked out and hung up. He called me back a minute later and went, "What the hell was THAT?!" since he had heard it, too.
12. Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not?
I do believe in ghosts. I've felt a cold spot in the middle of summer, I've heard ghostly whispering on the phone and through the radio, and one night I heard whistling downstairs when everyone in the house was asleep and I was the only one awake.
Also, I've got numerous photos of orbs that I took in Old Ellicott City, and while they're not necessarily evidence of ghosts, they are often psychic residue or evidence of of it.
13. Would you rather be a zombie, alien, or psycho?
Psycho. They have the most fun before the third act. {Excellent answer, Lauren. I totally agree.}
14. Favorite Halloween costume?
Of the ones I've worn, when I was Laura Ingalls Wilder in 8th grade. It was so much fun getting to dress up as her.
15. Best thing about Halloween?
All the free candy, and pretending to be someone else for the night.

I would say my uncle or my Dad, since all of us share a love of horror movies, but my Mom likes the decoration aspect of the holiday...like every other holiday.

Not really, though I do knock on wood sometimes.

I don't really have one, actually.
19. What did you do for Halloween as a kid?
Trick or treated.

The one I attended yesterday. There was Rock Banding while in costume. I was Liz Lemon from '30 Rock'.

The Day So Far
I watched 'The Breakfast Club' yet again and spent most of the afternoon reading since I didn't have my computer.
Ben and I worked together and had a big bunch of crazy in the evening -_-
I was going to buy some books, but figured I could save my money, and so came home and watched 'The Last King of Scotland'.

Movie You Should Be Excited About:
'Taking Woodstock'
This is going to be an fabulous ensemble movie; Jeffrey Dean Morgan {JDM}, Paul Dano, Liev Schreiber...among many others. And, if you're a fan of Woodstock, you'll probably know about this anyway.
Movie News:
Apparently, the 'Aliens' franchise is going to be entirely remade. They're redoing all of the movies.
And you know, it's shit like this that pisses me off more than anything. Especially when NEW movies like, oh, I don't know, 'Shutter Island', are pushed back because of "lack of money". If studios have enough money to continually remake GOOD movies and turn them into shitty ones, they should have enough money to promote 'Shutter Island' at least three times over.
And don't even get me started on how mad I am about the 'Fright Night' remake. GOD!
Most Recent Movie(s) I've Seen At Home:
'The Last King of Scotland', directed by Kevin Macdonald, based on the book of the same name by Giles Foden, about the deeds of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. When I first heard of this movie, the title confused me, since, let's face it, Forest Whitaker is a black man, and I doubted he'd be a King of Scotland any time soon. The title refers to what Amin called himself; "His Excellency President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin, VC, DSO, MC, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Sea, and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular" and he referred to himself as the "Last King of Scotland" in an interview, which you see in the film, because of his love of Scottish culture.
The film is very brutal. It's told through the eyes of a fictional person, played by James McAvoy, but the deeds they say Amin have done {killing 300,000 of his own people, for example} are real. The last half hour of the film or so are especially brutal in particular. Forest Whitaker is terrifying as Amin and brings a scary authenticity to the role.
Grade: A

I'm pretty pleased about this. Seeing the first 3 Star Wars movies in theatres when I was a kid was pretty awesome in and of itself, but this will be really really cool :)
Most Recent Movie(s) I've Seen At Home:
'From Hell', directed by The Hughes Brothers, based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell. I loved this movie back in high school, mainly because I was interested in the Jack the Ripper murders {I still am}, but on the rewatch, eh. It's not doing it for me any more, so to speak, and I think I might get rid of it.
Grade: D

Bender is my favourite character, though I liked all of them. The "basket case", Allison, got on my nerves a little in the beginning, but I warmed up to her. I ran out yesterday evening and bought it immediately, along with the third season of 'Dexter'.
Grade: A
